This home in Ewing Township had years of deferred maintenance that finally caught up to it. Heavy water damage and termite infestation had compromised the entire first floor. The structure was failing, the exterior was deteriorating, and the interior was beyond cosmetic repair.
The property was overgrown, filled with debris, and the garage was packed floor to ceiling. This wasn't a project where you could patch things up and call it a day. The house needed to be taken down to the bones and rebuilt from the ground up.
The property when we first arrived

The majority of the first floor joists were completely removed and replaced due to the water and termite damage. We installed two structural beams to support the new open floor plan. Multiple walls were taken out, the staircase was relocated, and the kitchen ceiling was vaulted to create a completely different layout than the original home.
Every exterior surface was addressed. New siding, new roof, new gutters, fascia, and soffit. Every window in the house was replaced. We relocated the front door and built new front steps with railings and a concrete walkway.
The two-car garage had an old shed roof that we tore off completely. We gutted it to the cinder block walls, installed steel beams, and built a proper framed gable roof. The finished garage is unrecognizable from the original.
Inside, the house was taken down to the studs and rebuilt. The entire first floor was opened up for a modern floor plan with a vaulted kitchen ceiling and exposed structural beam. A brand new electrical service was installed with 50 recessed lights throughout. Custom iron balusters were installed on the relocated staircase. The kitchen was finished with white shaker cabinets, quartz counters, black subway tile backsplash, and a full island.
The basement was originally not a livable space. We converted it into a finished living area with LVP flooring, recessed lighting, and a mini-split for climate control, adding usable square footage to the home.
Taking it down to the bones and building it back

When construction was complete, we brought in a professional cleaning service to detail the house, followed by a staging company to furnish and style it for sale.
The house sold within two days. No issues, no contingencies.
A home that had been failing structurally was transformed into a move-in ready property that buyers competed for. Every level of the house was touched. All permits were pulled and approved. Every bit of work was done to code and built to last.
Professionally staged and sold in two days

"Boxwood handled my entire second floor addition/renovation. They were there start to finish and were up front and honest with all aspects of the job. The detail and finishes were great and I couldn't have been happier with their work."
